Andrew Jordan Rebounds for Race 2 HSR NASCAR Classic Presented by Goodyear at The Le Mans Classic Legend Victory

Winning British Driver Andrew Jordan Shakes Off Saturday’s Late Loss for Convincing Race 2 Victory Sunday Morning in His 2011 No. 15 Toyota Camry

LE MANS, France (July 5, 2026) – Shaking off Saturday’s heartbreaking late loss in the opening race of the inaugural HSR NASCAR Classic Presented by Goodyear at the Le Mans Classic Legend, champion British driver Andrew Jordan charged to a convincing Race 2 victory Sunday morning at Circuit de la Sarthe. Jordan raced through the field in his 2011 No. 15 Toyota Camry, a former Michael Waltrip Racing machine driven by Clint Bowyer, after starting ninth in the seven-lap race.

Jordan, who was one of several drivers to run out fuel at the end of Saturday’s race, evened the score in the friendly rivalry between the European drivers and their American guests to one win apiece heading into Sunday afternoon’s third and final race. JC France, a Daytona Beach, Florida resident and a member of NASCAR’s founding family, pounced when Jordan and the others faltered to score a true All-American victory on the 4th of July in his 2014 No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro that pays tribute to the popular NASCAR Garage 56 entry in the 2023 Le Mans 24 Hour race.

France stayed on form, with a fourth place finish Sunday morning just behind the second and third-place finishers that joined Jordan in the top three.

Early leader Ryan Gemmell finished second in the NEMCO Motorsports No. 55 Perrier Chevrolet Monte Carlo from “Talladega Nights,” and is the only driver to finish in the top-three overall in both NASCAR Classic races at the Le Mans Classic Legend.

Third went to NASCAR Hall of Famer and retired NASCAR Cup Champion Kurt Busch who put his own Saturday late retirement in the rearview mirror at the wheel of his former Chip Ganassi Racing 2020 No. 1 Monster Energy Chevrolet Camaro.

Jordan’s United Kingdom countryman Nigel Armstrong continued his solid NASCAR Classic Le Mans Classic Legend weekend with a top-five finish Sunday morning. The fifth-place run followed up on his third-place showing overall Saturday in the 2007 No. 44 Menards Toyota Camry that Frank Kimmel drove to one of his record 10 ARCA championships.

Jordan took the checkered flag for the overall win with a 2.162 second margin of victory and set the fastest lap of the race on the third circuit. He completed his impressive charge through the field when he made the winning pass on Gemmell entering the Mulsanne Straight halfway through the race and ran out the final four laps for the victory.
