James Redman Appointed HSR General Manager
HSR is pleased to announce the appointment of James Redman as General Manager. James has been the organizer of events such as the Porsche/Watkins Glen Double 50, Rennsport Reunions 1, 2, 3, The Jefferson 500 and Targa Sixty Six. James has been involved in historic racing in the United States for more than 25 years.
"2013 will be an exciting year for HSR and vintage/historic racers. I am honored to join the HSR staff and look forward to being a part of the organization", said James. "HSR has positive momentum and increased interest moving forward to 2013 and we are optimistic about HSR's future".
"We are very excited to add James to our staff", said HSR President David Hinton. "I have attended many of James' events over the last 10 years and, now, to have James taking the role of General Manager, is a huge honor. I am confident he will be a positive addition to the HSR staff and competitors".
Vintage Racing Events LLC Joins HSR Ownership Group
HSR is pleased to announce VINTAGE RACING EVENTS LLC has joined the HSR ownership group. Vintage Racing Events President and long time HSR member, David Hinton, has been elected as HSR President. In addition, Denise Norton-Beatty has joined HSR as Secretary/Treasurer.

Track Theft Suspect Caught
The theft suspect that has caused problems in race pits and paddock areas all over the Southern U. S. has been caught. His name is Steven Gary Sanders from Macon Georgia. The suspect was captured at the Gator Nationals NHRA Event last month and is being housed in the Alachua County Florida Jail with numerous “HOLDS” from various agencies all over the South East. The suspect kept a diary of each Race Track he was at for the past 12 years. He crossed all racing types of racing, from drag racing to NASCAR, to Sports Car Racing, you name it. In his diary he shows that he has been at basically all tracks from Texas to Virginia, to Miami and everywhere in between. So far the Suspect has been connected to 12 years of thefts and over $1,000,000.00 in property from Race Tracks. In a search of the suspects house in Macon Ga, numerous credit cards, I.D’s, valuables ect.. were recovered.

HSR Announces the Championship of Makes Series
In order to more accurately represent the Golden Years of Championship of Makes sports car racing, HSR announces changes in the participation of Group 7 to now include the production based sports cars of the 1970’s and 1980’s on slick racing tires. These production based sports cars will compete in their respective classes along with FIA Sports Prototypes of the same era. Accordingly, the production based sports cars of this era, will move from HSR’s Group 9 into Group 7. For additional details, please contact KEN FENGLER, Vice President of Race Operations – HSR.
