For the fourth year in a row, the Crane Cams V8 StockCar Series will partner and race with HSR. Some of the outstanding V8 racers expected for the Palm Beach weekend include 2012 V8 SPO Champion Bob Mitten in his familiar ex-Tony Stewart Monte Carlo, 2012 V8 GT-1 Champ Simon Gregg driving his Derhaag Motorsports prepped Corvette, multi time V8 winner Bill Riddell in his Riggins Falcon, two time V8 GTA Champion Randy Walker in his new Howe Camaro. Charles Wicht will be on hand in his Rocketsports V8 GT-1 Corvette and Cameron Lawrence and Hall Robertson will compete in their fast V8 GTA stock cars. Bobby Kennedy will be in his ARRC podium placing V8 GTA Ford Taurus, while dad Squeak Kennedy will shoe his V8 GT2 Bemco Corvette. Mickey Wright will be on hand in her Competition 101 V8 SPO Ford Fusion. Lee Arnold will compete in his familiar number 0 Chevy Impala, while Pete Kirill is expected in his Riggins Competition prepped Corvette. So, some of HSR's vintage/historic drivers will also compete in this fast-paced V8 Stock Car Series which will prove to be a thrill for drivers and spectators.
The Palm Beach Grand Prix will also host the popular 45 minute Night Race under the lights of Palm Beach International. This is a 45 minute - no pit stop - enduro for groups 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9. Don't forget, Thursday's test day begins at 3:00 pm and runs until 9:00 pm - a great way to get in some night practice for the Night Enduro.
The British Car Club will put on it's usual well subscribed British Car Show. Please contact Palm Beach International for details.
Charity Rides will be held to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. Make sure you find out how to participate in helping out the boys and girls again this year.
The Derek Bell Trophy will be awarded to the driver/crew team that accumulates the most points during the weekend. More info will be available at the track on how to participate. Go Karts will NOT be involved this year.
